The thing most owners miss: who sold you the Clover
Clover is sold through banks, processors and independent resellers, and each one sets its own processing rates and contract terms. Two stores on the same Clover hardware can be paying very different amounts. Before you sign, get the processing rate, the contract length and the early termination fee in writing, and ask what happens to the hardware if you change processors.
Where Clover is the better choice
Clover has a large app market, so if you need something unusual, there is a good chance an app exists. The Clover Flex handheld is handy for curbside pickup, tastings and events. And if you already run Clover, are happy with your rate and have no contract headaches, switching may not be worth it.
Where Liquor Store OS is the better choice
